Joshua Siegel is a highly experienced tax attorney and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in California, who brings deep expertise in transactional tax matters to his role as Partner and Chair of the Tax Department at Albrecht Law.

With a strong foundation built at leading professional services firms—including Deloitte, PwC, and Baker Tilly—Josh has honed his skills in M&A tax advisory across a wide range of deal sizes, from smaller transactions to those in the billions. He specializes in providing strategic, proactive tax guidance to buyers and sellers of businesses, including comprehensive tax due diligence, innovative tax structuring (such as tax-free reorganizations and Section 1202 Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) planning), and other essential tax assistance to optimize outcomes, minimize risks, and maximize value in complex deals.

David Haberman

Associate | Mergers & Acquisitions

David represents buyers and sellers in lower- and middle-market acquisitions, serving as lead associate on transactions involving securities purchases, asset deals, seller financing, equity rollovers, and escrow structures. Prior to Albrecht Law, David was a corporate associate at Schwell Wimpfheimer & Associates and previously practiced in the real estate group at Herrick, Feinstein, in New York. Before his legal career, David served in an IDF Special Forces Unit and returned to active duty as a combat reservist following October 7th. David graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2022 and is a member of the New York Bar.

These are specialists who are part of the broader Albrecht family and who we have worked with in the past. Often, these are ex-Big Law Lawyers who are very sophisticated at more reasonable prices.

What do you do about legal fees if my deal dies? +

In our fixed fee structure the majority of the legal fee is paid at closing and fully forgiven if the deal dies. This allows you to pursue another deal without getting weighed down by rolled or overdue legal fees.
